"Sanford and Son," Season 2, Episode 24: "Rated X" (March 16, 1973)
Fred follows Lamont and Rollo to a studio to get a part in a movie, not knowing that it is a pornographic movie. At the 6:40 mark, Fred enters the producer's office and there is a picture of Alice Matthews Frame (Jacqueline Courtney) and Eliot Carrington (James Douglas) directly over Fred's shoulder.









"Light Of Day" (Movie) (1987)
There is a brief glimpse of a scene featuring Mac and Rachel on the TV for a duration of 39 second in which the sound can be heard faintly in the background behind the movie dialogue after that. In another scene, Michael J. Fox's character visits Gena Rowlands' character in the hospital. She remarks, "Watching Another World. Do you wanna know something crazy? They have all different characters on it. I don't recognize any of these." The episode is probably from January 1986 when Cass followed Kathleen to Hollywood because she's worried about him going to prison.





"Falling Over Backwards" (1990)
Rose Rosenblum watches a March 1987 episode and explains, rather accurately, the goings-on to her son, Mel, played by Saul Rubinek.









"Homicide: Life on the Street," Season 3, Episode 1: "Nearer My God to Thee" (October 14, 1994)
15 seconds of both video and audio of a bedroom scene featuring Jake and Paulina are seen on the precinct television. Stanley Bolander (Ned Beatty) comments, "That's disgusting."










"Love, Sidney" (1981-1983)
The title character's friend Laurie Morgan was an aspiring actress who claimed four episodes of Another World on her resume.

"The Facts of Life," Season 3, Episode 17: "The Affair" (February 17, 1982)
Natalie thinks she spots "Rachel from Another World" at a fancy NYC restaurant and follows her into the ladies' room and tries to get her autograph for herself and Mrs. Garrett. It turns out that this woman is not an actress, but her life story is even more of a soap opera than Another World.

"Golden Girls," Season 1, Episode 22: "Flu Attack" (March 1, 1986)
Dorothy and Blance argue over whether they will watch the continuing story of Another World as they are stuck in the house with the flu.

"Alf," Season 2, Episode 3: "Take A Look At Me Now" (October 5, 1987)
Raquel Ochmonek (Liz Sheridan) thinks she's seeing things when she spots ALF the alien in the backyard and exclaims, "It looked like something from another world." To which her husband Trevor (John La Motta) replies, "The soap opera?"

"Hunter," Season 4, Episode 10: "Hot Prowl" (December 8, 1987)
Interviewing a witness, Sergeant Dee Dee McCall (Stepfanie Kramer) is told they heard the gunshots at "... one o'clock. I had just switched on Another World and pop, pop. That's when it starts, Another World, one o'clock."

"Friends," Season 2, Episode 19: "The One Where Eddie Won't Go" (March 28, 1996)
Joey's agent gets him an audition for Another World.

"Days of Our Lives," December 7, 2022 (EP. #14492): In a scene with Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) gets a call (unseen/unheard) from "City Council President Cass Winthrop."
