FAMILYIn 1986 Reginald returned from the dead. He took up where he left off in tormenting Donna. In particular, he was intent on destroying her relationship with Michael Hudson. In early 1988 it was revealed that Reginald had killed Elizabeth many years ago. A month later, Reginald fell to his death from the Love Tower in a duel with Michael Hudson.

Children
Donna's affair with Michael Hudson at
age 16 left her pregnant. She was
forced by her tyrannical father to raise
her daughter, Marley Hudson as her
sister. Unbeknownst to Donna, she had
given birth to twins, but her second
daughter, Vicky Hudson, was taken from her at birth.

In 1985, at the same time that Vicky
came to Bay City, Donna confessed to both her daughters (who were now 18)
that she was actually their mother. It took all three of them many years to
come to terms with their new roles, but Donna has become very motherly.
Marley still calls her mother by her first name, as this was what she was used to calling her.
In 1986 it was about to be revealed that Scott LaSalle was the third of three triplets born to her, but that plan was aborted when Anna Stuart
left the role and was replaced with the younger Philece Sampler.
Donna was a very protective mother to both her daughters for many years. In 1998, Donna blamed Vicky for Michael's death, and, for the first time, Donna turned against her daughter. When she was tricked into believing Vicky had had an ongoing affair with Shane, Donna was so enraged she ran her daughter down. Whether she meant to kill her or just swerve by and scare her is perhaps open to doubt.
In 1988, Donna and Michael adopted
orphaned Mikey. In 1990, his parents, Eve and Toby Miller, resurfaced and
tried to reclaim him. Donna willingly gave up custody when their lawyer, Stacey Winthrop, threatened to
go public with Donna's affair with Jake.
Siblings
Peter Love. Peter was introduced in December 1982 and left Bay City to live in New York by December 1987. Peter and Donna were on good terms until 1984. Their first major falling out occurred once Peter learned of Donna's machinations, which caused him to break his engagement to Sally Frame and to nearly marry the diabolical Cecile DePoulignac. However, Peter would forgive Donna and they reconciled.
In 1986, Peter's villainous side surfaced once he realized that Brittany Peterson had become pregnant by Catlin Ewing and had tricked him into marriage by passing the baby off as his son. When Reginald Love re-emerged in August 1986, Peter became desperate and anxious for his father's approval. Peter kidnapped Donna and secluded her in a castle just to keep her away from Michael Hudson. Eventually, Peter learned the error of his ways and, in his last week in town, he and Donna came to an understanding.

Nicole Love. During Nicole's first tenure in Bay City, Nicole was wary of Donna because of her manipulative ways and kept her distance. Meanwhile, Donna was ashamed of Nicole for tarnishing the family name by being indebted to drug dealers, becoming addicted to cocaine, and disapproved of Nicole's romance with Jamie Frame. However, when Nicole returned in November 1986, they had settled their differences and were on good terms. Nicole supported Donna's romance with Michael Hudson and tried to keep the peace between the Hudson and Love families.
When Nicole left Bay City in 1989 it was on good terms with her older sister. She left because she had a suffered from a nervous breakdown, but Donna stuck by her side throughout the ordeal. It's been several years since Donna has mentioned Nicole, but when she did, it was to refer to her as being "in a mental institution."
