TRACK 1
December 11, 1968
- Russ has been waiting up for Rachel who abruptly ran from the house
earlier while in the middle of a discussion about getting their own place
and having a family. She arrives home and issues Russ an ultimatum. The
argument continues.
- Alice tells Pat that Lee spoke to her in a way that suggests she may
still be in love with Sam.
- Mary/Russ.
- Steve/Rachel.
December 13, 1968
- Sam and Lahoma drive up in a car in front of John's house, where they
encounter Lee, which causes Lahoma to erupt in a small fit of jealousy.
- Ada/Ernie.
- Lahoma/Mrs. Gilhooly.
- Ernie on the phone with Dru.
- After Mrs. Gilhooly leaves, Sam and Lahoma discuss the incident in
front of John's house involving Lee and Sam tries to reassure the ever-doubtful
(with good reason) Lahoma of his love for her, not Lee.
December 16, 1968
- Mary/Rachel.
- Sam/Mrs. Gilhooly.
- Rachel is ambivalent toward the invitation Ernie is extending to her
and Russ for the housewarming.
- Pat, babysitting for Ricky, tries to interest Rachel in him and then is
mystified when in a discussion about getting an apartment, Rachel tells
her there is "no hurry about it."
- Pat/John/Dru.
- Sam/Rachel.
- Ada gets Ernie to admit that he arranged the housewarming purposely as
a device to get Rachel to visit them.
- Sam and Rachel quarrel when he demands she attend the party and
criticizes her treatment of Ada and Ernie.

TRACK 2
December 4, 1968
- Lahoma arrives in need of an urgent discussion with Lee about
accepting Sam's proposal.
- Liz/Fred/Rachel.
- Lahoma and Lee discuss Lahoma's acceptance of Sam's marriage proposal
and she poignantly asks Lee what she can possibly say to ease Lee's pain,
to which Lee has a very noble response. A most beautiful scene!
- Fred/Steve.
- Liz is not especially pleased when Rachel laughs at her old photos of
Russ and Bill as children and tells her that an outsider couldn't
possibly appreciate them. Then she politely but haughtily rebuffs Rachel
when she expresses interest in assisting Liz with her charity work and
fundraising.
- A dejected Rachel, determined to "show" Liz, goes to Steve pretending
to be a part of the fundraising committee, but he sees through her. But
feeling that they come from similar backgrounds, he relates to her need to
prove herself to people like Liz and agrees to help her successfully
solicit money.
December 5, 1968
- Missy/Bill/Liz. NOTE: This is one of two episodes where Clarke
experiments with a peculiar vibrating element added to the music he plays
during the show.
- Rachel/Mary.
- Liz/Missy/Bill. Scene particulars unknown.
- Mary/Jim/Rachel.
- Mary and Alice watch television after dinner.
- Russ tells Rachel he has set up an appointment with Dr. Clater, much to
her dismay.
December 6, 1968
- Rachel goes into the bathroom to avoid Russ, with whom she is annoyed
over his making a doctor's appointment for her.
- Mary/Alice.
- Jim suggests to Russ that perhaps if he and Rachel had a small place of
their own, it might change a lot of her attitude, especially about a
family.
- Lenore and Walter have just returned from the tropics and are surprised
to get a visit from Rachel.
- Rachel/Dr. Clater.
- Walter/Lenore.
- Mary/Russ/Rachel.
December 9, 1968
- Alice/Russ.
- Missy/Bill/Lee.
- Liz's big mouth gets her in trouble with Bill once again over her
remarks about Sam in front of Lee.
December 10, 1968
- Mary/Jim/Dru/Russ. Mary is getting ready to serve dinner in a warm,
charming, domestic scene with a strong undercurrent of sadness running
through it over Russ and Rachel's difficulties.
- Mary, Jim, and Dru finish their meal.
- Mary and Jim arrive at Pat and John's for a visit and game of cards,
where they encounter Steve.
- Pat/John/Mary/Jim/Steve.
- Pat/John/Mary/Jim. The card game concludes.
- Russ frantically chases down the stairs after Rachel when she flees
from the house in the middle of a discussion. Dru intercedes.
- More annoying Top 40 music, some played at high speed.
